OODBS is “Object Oriented Database” and is used by Diskeeper. The second “trial” install is where the hangup came in. It wouldn’t install properly, and so also probably didn’t uninstall properly.OODBS is a non standard file. So you could edit the Windows Registery using RegEdit and remove all refernces of it. But make a System Restore point to backup the Windows Registry first.
The problem is not that of Diskeeper but rather an incomplete uninstall of O&O Defrag Professional:
>Start>Run>Regedit
Once in the registry editor, do a search on “OODBS” (no quotes)
You should come up with two occurences of O&O Autocheck which you can delete. (Hitting F3 continues your current search). After deleting these registry entries, you can reboot and the problem should be resolved.
