How to view hidden files and folders in Windows 7

This is the easiest one but for those who don’t know…

  • Click on Start.
  • Open Control Panel.
  • Go to Folder Options.
  • Click on view tab.
  • Check “Hidden files and folders: Show all files and folders”.
  • Uncheck “Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)”.
  • Click “Apply” and then “OK”.

    the trick u have mentioned was right but as i done that procedure the files can not be viewed. and also when i double click on My Computer the drives open in new window i check for settings all were ok. i think it is some kind of virus. can any on help me for removing it. that my hidden files can not be shown and drives open in new window.
