Launchy is a nice little app to make your digital life easier.
From their site:
Launchy is a free windows and linux utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager.
Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few keystrokes!
How to use it??
Download the setup file from the link and install it in your PC. It runs in the background. You can invoke it using alt+space key. Then just type any application name in the text box and launchy will do everything else for you. It will quickly open that application. You don’t need to remember exact name of the application. For example suppose you want to open Mozilla Firefox just type “mozilla” or “firefox” in the textbox and it will open firefox for you within a second. It is very useful for laptop users who don’t like to navigate using their mouse.
You can even use plugins with launchy to get more out of it.
For more instructions see the Readme file which comes with the setup.
Enjoy
