Now you can make your own custom theme for your nokia series 60 mobile. Carbide.ui 3.4 Theme Edition is an application made by nokia for s60 users.With Carbide.ui Theme Edition you can create themes for s60 as well as s40 mobiles. Carbide.ui provides access to the more than 1,000 customizable theme elements in the S60 UI, which makes the S60 UI the most customizable UI available. Carbide.ui is designed for professionals and hobbyists alike.

First  download Carbide.ui 3.4 Theme Edition and install it on your computer.Now run the application. If used first time, it will ask for directory to save themes.Select any destination for your themes.Now choose “Create Theme”, it will open a dialog window that will ask for the name of the theme.

Rename your theme and click finish.

After clicking “Finish” the theme editor will appear, now just follow the steps and changes you want to be made in the theme.


Minimum system requirements for Carbide.ui Theme Edition…

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3; Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3; or any version of Microsoft Windows Vista.
  • 512 MB of RAM (1 GB of RAM is recommended).
  • 430 MB of free disk space.
  • 1.5-GHz processor (a 2.8-GHz processor is recommended).
  • A display supporting 16-bit color (24-bit color support recommended) at 1280 x 1024 pixels.
  • A sound card is recommended.

It’s a freeware. You’ll just have to register at nokia’s site(for free).

  1. These plug ins are cool tools for extending the features of Carbide.ui Theme Edition 2.0 to enable the creation of themes for various version of Symbian, S60 platform editions, and devices from Nokia.

    Before installing the S60 5th Edition plug-in please uninstall the version in Carbide.ui. Instructions on this process are provided in the Carbide.ui Theme Edition S60 5th Edition Plug-in: Installation and What’s New Guide.
