How to easily recover deleted/formatted files and drives

It often happens that we lose an important file or data by accidentally deleting it using shift + delete or remember it only after formatting hard drive partition, or it gets corrupted because of some virus attack. There isn’t really a way to recover these files manually, but thanks to software like EaseUS Data Recovery wizard, we can still recover the lost data with few mouse clicks.

EaseUS Data Recovery wizard is a free data recovery software (pro version also available) which can recover data even after it is emptied from recycle bin or formatted. It works with almost all kind of data storage devices like HDD, SD card, USB drive, RAID etc.

This tool is very easy to use, after downloading and installing the software from the link given below; when you start the software you will see a screen with three main options.

Data recovery free software

Deleted File Recovery, Complete Recovery and Partition Recovery. Deleted File Recovery will help you recover the data which is emptied from recycle bin. Complete Recovery will help you recover data which is lost due to drive corruption or formatting the entire drive. Partition Recovery will be useful when entire partition is lost due to re-partitioning or damaged boot manager.

You just need to select the appropriate option from the main screen, select the type of files which you want to recover and select the location from where you want to recover the data. Once you select the drive or location it will search for the lost files and show you the list of files which can be recovered.

You can check the preview and select files which you want to recover and click on recover button. It will ask you for the location to save the recovered file and then it will recover the files for you. You can recover up to 2GB data using the free version. The free version has got almost all features that you will require but the only constraint is 2GB limit. You can buy pro version in case you want to recover more data.  There are three more versions available which you can check here.

Bech De on OLX – It is worth a try

olx-logoFew years back me and my brother used to crib about online shopping scenario in India and most about classifieds. Here in India, we were pretty much dependent on traditional media for classified ads even in metro cities, forget about tier 2, tier 3 cities.  And then came OLX and it became all easy. OLX India is what craigslist is for US. You can depend on it for almost everything.

From mobile phones to laptops, clothes to even a house, you can buy, sell and rent almost anything and everything here. And in my experience this is the best way to sell your old stuff, or to buy anything.

After finishing my graduation I was moving to a new city  for job. If you are from India then you must be knowing how difficult it is to transfer your bike from one state to another, so I decided to sell my old bike. I went to a local dealer hoping to get a good deal. He quoted only 16k for my 4 year old Bajaj discover bike. Definitely that was too less, I went to few more dealers and got pretty much same quote from everywhere.

OLX was new during that period and I didn’t have any prior experience dealing online. So I was bit hesitant to use it. But just to give it a try I posted a free ad on OLX, and to my surprise I got 8-10 enquiries within 3 days and now I was in a position to quote the price I wanted for my bike. Finally I sold it for 26k to another guy whom I met through OLX.

And then when I moved to Hyderabad from Mumbai, I simply went to OLX and bought another bike in a week. I managed to save almost 4k by buying from OLX and got 6k more when I sold my bike.

Best part is, it is totally free unlike the newspaper classifieds, you can reach to almost everyone who is using internet and who is interested in buying what you are selling. You get targeted audience for your product, no brokerage or a middle man, so you can save or get more when buying or selling on OLX.

Just saw these funny OLX commercials on TV so thought of sharing it with you guys. Do watch them. And if you like these, then you can find more videos in their YouTube channel.

Overall, I had a good experience while dealing on OLX. I would definitely recommend you to try it once. No matter where you are in the world, OLX must be there in your country. OLX is available in more than 95 countries and in 45 languages. So do visit OLX.

If you have used OLX then do share your experience with us 🙂 !!!

S1 will be a better alternative to Micromax A110 (see the comparison) where S5 will be directly competing with the likes of Canvas HD and XOLO Q800. On paper the only difference between Canvas HD and S5 is the screen resolution. Karbonn S5  has got the resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (~220 ppi) whereas Canvas HD has 720 x 1280 pixels(~294 ppi) screen resolution. But the difference in market price being around 3000 INR one can easily ignore this.

Another difference is its processor. You can expect S5 to run all the apps and games available on store without any issue. So in terms of performance one will not notice much difference between these two. According to the hands-on reviews on net, S5 outperforms all other mid-range phones in terms of multimedia and high-end gaming.
