Top 5 Android phones under 10K in India

With so many new budget phones launching every day, it is really hard to find the right one which suits your budget and has decent configuration too. So just to help reduce your time in finding the right phone, we have compiled a list of top 5 budget android phones.

5 – Panasonic Eluga Icon

With HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 1.5 GHz true octa-core processor, this phone scores 7.5/10 on specsheet in this price range. It misses on OS update (still running on KitKat) and FHD display. Also there are mixed user reviews from verified buyers around the net. You can checkout more about this phone here Panasonic Eluga Icon (Slate).

4 – Yu – Yureka Plus

It has got almost all the good things in it. Initially the phone was running Cyanogen out of the box. But now users will have to visit service centre to get the Cyanogen installed on this phone. With Cyanogen you will get frequent OS updates and lot more control over the OS. With 13 mp camera, 1.5 GHz Octa-core processor and 2 GB RAM and Full HD display this one deserves to be in the top 5 list.

3 – InFocus M810

2.5 GHz quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 13MP camera – I am sure it has already got your attention with this specs. And the main attraction is NFC. There are not many phones with decent specs that come under 10K and has NFC too. Classy looks of this one adds a bonus point. Only issue is – this phone does not support Indian 4G bands. So if you are planning to use 4G any time soon ,then you can skip this one.

2 –  Coolpad Note 3

Finger print scanner, 1.3 GHz octa core processor, 3 GB RAM, 3000 mAh battery and HD display  -what more can we ask for in 9k? This phone scores 9/10 on spec sheet for this range. Phone’s build quality too is up to the mark and looks beautiful in hand. Not only that, phone is also loved by real users. With all the positive reviews around the net I had to put this on #2.

1 – Lenovo K3 note

This one is my personal favourite. It has most balanced specs I have seen within this range – backed by Lenovo’s really nice customer service (I am already using a Lenovo tablet). 2 GB RAM, 1.7 GHz Octa-core processor, full HD display, 3000 mAh battery, 16 GB ROM and all of these at below 10K price. Very few would disagree about this one being put at  #1 in budget category.

Karbonn Titanium S5

S1 will be a better alternative to Micromax A110 (see the comparison) where S5 will be directly competing with the likes of Canvas HD and XOLO Q800. On paper the only difference between Canvas HD and S5 is the screen resolution. Karbonn S5  has got the resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (~220 ppi) whereas Canvas HD has 720 x 1280 pixels(~294 ppi) screen resolution. But the difference in market price being around 3000 INR one can easily ignore this.

Another difference is its processor. Micromax HD runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core mediatek processor which is said to be the fastest amongst low cost quad core processors, S5 titanium has the trust of popular Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. You can expect S5 to run all the apps and games available on store without any issue. So in terms of performance one will not notice much difference between these two. According to the hands-on reviews on net, S5 outperforms all other mid-range phones in terms of multimedia and high-end gaming.

Key Features of Karbonn S5 Titanium

  • Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS
  • 4 GB ROM
  • 1 GB RAM
  • Expandable Storage Capacity of 32 GB

Previously, customers used to be worried about the after-sales service and quality of devices manufactured by Indian companies. But after seeing the success of Micromax Canvas HD  one can say that things have changed a lot and now people are not afraid of buying an Indian device.

So if you are not one of the lucky one’s who were able to grab the Micromax Canvas HD, you can definitely consider this one. Currently it is sold at 11,990 compared to 14990 of Micromax Canvas HD (15999 at Flipkart). Which means it will be lighter on your pocket as well. If interested you can buy one from here.
