Airtel 3G plans Postpaid & Prepaid

Airtel ; India’s one of the most popular GSM operator is now 3G in 3 cities  Bangalore , Chennai & Coimbatore. While they do have spectrum for 3G in 13 circles as followed Delhi, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh (West), Rajasthan, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, North East, Jammu & Kashmir.

So we can assume that sooner or later they will have 3G services in all these circles.

Airtel 3G is also available for a ZERO rental plan, in which you have to pay 30p/20KB of data usage

Tata Docomo has launched 3G plans in India :


The 3G plans are available in 9 different circles as of yet.
Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP (West), Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra & Goa.

Free GPRS Settings FOR IDEA

GPRS on Idea simcards is by default activated,

In order to use it over mobile phones, use following settings:

Primary ip : 10.4.42.15

Primary port : 9201

Secondary ip = blank

port = blank

user = blank

pass= blank

APN GPRS = imis

If other applications on your mobile such as Google Maps etc. stop working , you should try apn name as ” Internet “. It has worked for me.
