Samsung is, no doubt, the best and the top-selling mobile phone company now. With every new launch it succeeds in meeting our expectations from it and more. The recent launch of Samsung Galaxy S4 has stunned the mobile phone fraternity. Filled with a plethora of exciting new features, this phone is on the way to become one of the greatest phones of at least the next few years.
Smart Scroll/ Smart Pause
Samsung has pulled out all stops with S4. The new interface is more gesture based than touch based and it shows heavily. Simply staring at the screen and tilting the phone causes the web page to scroll down or up automatically and in the case of videos, moving pour eyes away from the screen results in the video being played to be paused.
With the help of its infrared port, the S4 now can be used as a remote control for the television. WatchOn Video is a Peel-powered app which enables us to view content from the Samsung media hub and see the TV schedule.
Group Play and Gaming
Gaming with friends is always better than gaming alone. The same can be said about listening to songs or watching videos. Sometimes the speakers of one phone are not enough to get the true feel of a song. To help us get rid of all the above mentioned sad times, Samsung S4 comes to the most effective and the easiest way to play games, share media files, play songs simultaneously on different phones. The method happens to be-swiping. Simply swiping the file or game allows it to be shared with everyone in the room or to select few.
It has happened to everyone who has ever owned a camera of any kind. A great photo can be ruined; thanks to someone or something wafting into the picture at the most inopportune moment possible. With previous cameras, this photo would have been completely ruined as Photoshop cannot always salvage a ruined photo. The only other course was to try and recapture the moment again, which is not always possible. Such mishaps are now a history, with the Eraser Shot feature present in Samsung S4. Turning on this mode allows you to remove any unwanted things from your perfect photo.
It’s always better to have two rather than one and it seems to be the idea behind the dual camera feature of Galaxy S4. With this feature we can capture photos and videos at the same time. The primary camera of 13 MP captures the video and the front camera of 2 MP takes your pictures. It has an added advantage of relocating and re-sizing the boxes that seize the pictures from two cameras. To add to this feature S4 also has various templates that enhance our pictures to make it more creative, attractive and beautiful.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is the best smartphone in the market now and there is no doubt of this fact. It is a very user friendly gadget and with it Samsung has raised the bar high.

Karbonn Titanium S5
S1 will be a better alternative to Micromax A110 (see the comparison) where S5 will be directly competing with the likes of Canvas HD and XOLO Q800. On paper the only difference between Canvas HD and S5 is the screen resolution. Karbonn S5 has got the resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (~220 ppi) whereas Canvas HD has 720 x 1280 pixels(~294 ppi) screen resolution. But the difference in market price being around 3000 INR one can easily ignore this.
Another difference is its processor. Micromax HD runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core mediatek processor which is said to be the fastest amongst low cost quad core processors, S5 titanium has the trust of popular Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. You can expect S5 to run all the apps and games available on store without any issue. So in terms of performance one will not notice much difference between these two. According to the hands-on reviews on net, S5 outperforms all other mid-range phones in terms of multimedia and high-end gaming.
