Copying files and folders is easy in Windows but when it comes to copying file paths with file name, it is not that user friendly. You will have to first copy the path, paste it somewhere and then append the file name to it, not so efficient..right? Those who have to deal with file paths more often would find it really irritating, specially developers and web designers.
Path Copy Copy is a small open source tool which can come handy in such situations. This small shell application will allow you to quickly copy the file path to clipboard using right click->PathCopy->Copy path and then you can paste it anywhere using ctrl + v.
It also supports multiple path formats like short name, long name, short path, long path, web path, unix path and many other (Read more about it from here). You can enable or disable the formats from settings as per your needs. And if the path format you need is not available then you can create your custom command as well and that is something cool if you are working in different environments where path formats are different. For e.g linux machines support forward slashes (/) whereas Windows uses backward slashes (\). So in such scenarios you can customize the output as per your needs.
- Any latest Windows OS , Windows XP SP2 minimum
- .NET Framework 2.0
